Second Week!

  こんにちは！I hope you all are doing well! For some reason Google contacts isn't working on my phone, so I'm just going to reply to my original message! We got to Utah, after a bunch of setbacks and delays and false alarms! The important thing is that I made it in one piece. I've already made close friends with my district, and actually I've been assigned as district leader! Basically just means an extra meeting each Wednesday, and making sure we're all on the same page in learning about and serving Christ. I'm grateful for the opportunity! One thing I've learned while role-playing and teaching over and over is that I need to work on being more loving in my tone! I can be either suuuuper direct and come across as cold, or be very long winded and wishy washy. That's a balance I am going to refine these next few weeks. First week of MTC!

     Hey everyone! Elder Tillotson here coming from Connecticut! Last Monday I started Missionary Training, and I've already felt the blessings that have come from being set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! The first week has been over Zoom, so I've been able to be with my family for these last few days, and it's so great being able to pop in after each break and catch up on everyone. Eloise will come into the room basically every class and say hi, and while it can be a little distracting at times- I'm very grateful that she and the rest of my family can be a part of this experience at least for a little while.    My missionary companion for these next two months is Elder Maumau! He's from Hawaii, and he's also going to Fukuoka, Japan! Although when studying with him yesterday we discovered his visa might be delayed, we don't know!
